UPJ EN EL DIA INTERNACIONAL DE LA MUJER

Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- Un día memorable cada 8 de marzo el que fue instituido como el Dia Internacional de la Mujer por la Asamblea General de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) en la mitad de la década de los años setenta del siglo pasado.
Y es que 8 de marzo 1908 es parte de una trágico suceso que marco la historia donde 129 mujeres murieron calcinadas en un incendio en la fabrica Cotton Textile en Nueva York luego de que se declararan en huelga exigiendo reivindicaciones laborales y que el dueño de la empresa mando a cerrar las puertas de la instalación lo que hizo imposible la salida de las trabajadoras al producirse el incendio
Para este 2024 la campaña es #InspireInclusion  la y que tiene el tema oficial por parte de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) es «Invertir en las mujeres: Acelerar el progreso«, tema que viene como anillo al dedo dado que son ellas un motor importantísimo del desarrollo de las naciones a nivel mundial.
Esta fecha nos encuentra mas que regocijados pues dentro de las estructuras de la Unión Panamericana de Judo ya próximas a cumplir sus 72 años de vida institucional la mujer tiene un papel importante y definido en las diferentes estructuras como atletas, arbitras, entrenadoras, a nivel de dirigentes sin dejar de lado a las grandes colaboradoras por intermedio de sus hijos en el tatami, competencias y formación técnica.
Es pues que el Comité Ejecutivo de la Unión Panamericana de Judo eleva el mas puro reconocimiento y felicitaciones a la mujer del judo continental comprometiéndose a mantener ese ser sublime dentro de los planes y programación del desarrollo pleno en los programas de la entidad con rango panamericano.
«Nuestro mayor reconocimiento en este Dia Internacional de la Mujer 2024 a todas y cada una de aquellas que han contribuido con el desarrollo del judo panamericano en sus diferentes facetas en que se desempeñan con una gran celebración en este su día», así se expreso el ingeniero Jaime Casanova Martínez en su calidad de presidente de la Unión Panamericana de Judo (UPJ)

It is therefore that the Executive Committee of the Panamerican Judo Union raises the purest recognition and congratulations to the women of continental judo, committing to maintain this sublime being within the plans and programming of full development in the programs of the entity with Pan American rank.
