PANAMERICANOS Y PARA PANAMERICANOS 2023

Santiago de Chile, Chile.- Finalizados los Juegos Panamericanos y Para panamericanos 2023 realizados en Santiago de Chile Región Metropolitana, por primera vez, con resultados excepcionales para el país Sede Chile, podemos afirmar que el standard de calidad fue de primera calidad. La vara ha quedado muy alta y las opiniones de los diferentes Team de Seleccionados de los países asistentes, fue de elogios a las diferentes áreas de trabajo, dependencias y también el apoyo logístico con el que contaron todas las delegaciones.
En relación al Judo Paralímpico, Chile estuvo presente con un Team de Judo Paralímpico de primera calidad, constituido y conformado por atletas que lograron a través de campeonatos pre selectivos, estar en la representación de Chile, además de un cuerpo Técnico constituido por Francisco Sepúlveda Técnico oficial a cargo de la Delegación, Sensei Elizabeth Thompson Asistente Técnico y Joaquín Araya Asistente de Salud.
De acuerdo a palabras de Sensei Elizabeth, » tuvimos la ocasión de enfrentarnos a Selecciones como Canadá, Estados Unidos, Brasil. Argentina, Cuba, Puerto Rico y Uruguay entre otras, que vienen desarrollando el Judo Inclusivo ya desde hace muchos años al lado de IBSA, lo que nos deja la convicción 
que vamos por muy buen camino, tenemos un arduo trabajo para desarrollar un Judo solido basado en la experiencia técnica y contamos ya con el apoyo gubernamental y de los organismos respectivos. Estamos muy contentos todo el Team y vivimos momentos que quedarán grabados para todos en nuestra memoria, como maravillosos». Los atletas, que habían sido seleccionados en campeonatos selectivos realizados por Fenajudo Chile, 
están ampliamente motivados para seguir elevando el nivel técnico y continuar su circuito”.
Los atletas seleccionados y participantes fueron, Johann Herrera, Yabrán Llanos, Francisca Almanza, Felipe Riquelme, Ricardo Parra, Estefanía Martínez y Katherine Yáñez, todos ellos con diferentes grados de discapacidad visual o total; ellos entrenan de manera regular en su Club Carmen Herrera único Club de discapacidad visual perteneciente a la Comuna de San Ramón.
Todo el Team de Judo Paralímpico Chile, se manifiesta agradecido de cada Municipio y Corporaciones comunales que les brindaron su apoyo.
El lema acuñado por Sensei Elizabeth Thompson integrante de Unión Panamericana de Judo desde hace décadas, es y será «Sin miedo al éxito»<

Santiago de Chile, Chile.- Once the 2023 Pan American and Para Pan American Games held in Santiago de Chile Metropolitan Region have finished, for the first time, with exceptional results for the 
host country of Chile, we can affirm that the quality standard was of the highest quality. The bar has been set very high and 
the opinions of the different Selected Teams from the attending countries were full of praise for the different work areas, dependencies and also the logistical support that all the delegations had.
In relation to Paralympic Judo, Chile was present 
with a top quality Paralympic Judo Team, constituted and made up of athletes who achieved, through pre-selective championships, 
to be in the representation of Chile, in addition to a Technical body constituted by Francisco Sepúlveda Técnico officer in charge of the Delegation, Sensei Elizabeth Thompson Technical Assistant and Joaquín Araya Health Assistant.
According to the words of Sensei Elizabeth, «we had the opportunity to face teams such as Canada, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Cuba, Puerto Rico and Uruguay among others, who have been developing Inclusive Judo for 
many years alongside IBSA. , which leaves us with the conviction that we are on the right path, we have hard work to develop a solid Judo based on technical expertise and we already have the support of the government and the respective organizations. The entire Team is very happy and we live moments that will remain 
engraved for all of us in our memory, as wonderful. The athletes, who had been selected in selective championships held by Fenajudo Chile, are highly motivated to continue raising the technical level and continue their circuit.”
The selected athletes and participants were Johann Herrera, Yabrán Llanos, Francisca Almanza, Felipe Riquelme, Ricardo Parra, Estefanía Martínez and Katherine Yáñez, all of them with 
different degrees of visual or total disability; They train regularly at their Club Carmen Herrera, the only visually impaired club belonging to the Commune of San Ramón.
The entire Chile Paralympic Judo Team is grateful to each Municipality and Community Corporations that gave them their support.
The motto coined by Sensei Elizabeth Thompson, a member of the Pan American Judo Union for decades, is and will be «Without fear of success.»
