PROVINCIA DE SANTO DOMINGO, Rep\u00fablica Dominicana (18 Mayo 2026).- El Polideportivo del Polit\u00e9cnico Sor \u00c1ngeles Vall Fe y Alegr\u00eda de la Nueva Barquita de este municipio fue el lugar escogido para la realizaci\u00f3n de los Campeonatos Nacionales de Judo en la categor\u00eda superior tanto en masculino como en femenino con representantes de las provincias de San Crist\u00f3bal, Azua, San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa, Santo Oeste y Este, La Altagracia y Hermanas Mirabal, entre otras.
\n<\/strong>Previo al inicio de las competiciones se desarroll\u00f3 la Ceremonia Inaugural con el desfile de los equipos, himno nacional, palabras de bienvenida a cargo del licenciado Jos\u00e9 Rafael Suarez Morales, presidente de la Confederaci\u00f3n Dominicana de Judo (Condojudo), quien resalt\u00f3 la participaci\u00f3n y organizaci\u00f3n del certamen atl\u00e9tico con las reglamentaciones del Judo Tradicional bajo la sombrilla de la Uni\u00f3n Panamericana de Judo (UPJ) y la World Judo Federation (WJF), entidades continental y mundial, respectivamente, entidades de las que la organizaci\u00f3n nacional es miembro de pleno derecho.
\nLuego fue realizado el correspondiente saque de honor (Hajime), por la destacada atleta artemarcialista Audrey Puello P\u00e9rez, quien en su haber tiene un campeonato mundial de la disciplina de kurash en la capital de Turkmenist\u00e1n, Ashgabat, en 2023.
\nEn el evento estuvieron los ingenieros Jaime Casanova Mart\u00ednez y Percio Salvador Pujols Castillo, quienes son presidente de la Uni\u00f3n Panamericana de Judo y vicepresidente de la Confederaci\u00f3n Dominicana de Judo, respectivamente.
\nAl retiro de los equipos se iniciaron las competiciones en ambas ramas de masculino y femenino de la disciplina que fund\u00f3 el fil\u00e1ntropo japon\u00e9s, Jigoro Kano, en 1882 y que es un legado a la humanidad con uno de los postulados que nos dej\u00f3 de \u00abAmistad y Prosperidad Mutua\u00bb.

Los ganadores de medallas de oro del evento que estuvo dominado por los representantes de la provincia San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa fueron Yailin Jim\u00e9nez, Zoe Pozo, Nayeline Alcime, Lianny Pichardo en los 63, 70, 78 y m\u00e1s de 78 kilogramos, respectivamente.
\nEn la rama masculina Manuel Pereira, Milton Rosario, Francis Herrera y Wander N\u00fa\u00f1ez, en los 60, 66, 81 y 90 kilogramos, respectivamente, los que desarrollaron importantes combates ante la expectaci\u00f3n de atletas y p\u00fablico presente.

\nPrior to the start of the competitions, the Opening Ceremony took place, featuring a parade of the teams, the national anthem, and welcoming remarks by Jos\u00e9 Rafael Suarez Morales, president of the Dominican Judo Confederation (Condojudo). Mr. Suarez Morales highlighted the participation and organization of the athletic event, which adhered to the regulations of Traditional Judo and was sanctioned by the Pan American Judo Union (UPJ) and the World Judo Federation (WJF), the continental and world governing bodies, respectively, of which the Dominican Judo Confederation is a full member.
\nThe ceremonial first serve (Hajime) was then performed by the distinguished martial artist Audrey Puello P\u00e9rez, a world champion in the discipline of kurash, who won the title in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, in 2023.
