World Play True Day – April 19, 2024

Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- Following the guidelines of the World Anti-Doping Agency, the Panamerican Judo Union (PJU) joins the celebration of World Play True Day.

Since 2014, in April of each year, the anti-doping community around the world gathers to celebrate Fair Play Day, which is dedicated to sport and to raising awareness among athletes, the sporting public, sporting organizations and others about the importance of preventing doping.

The inspiration for Play True Day comes from an Education Conference organized by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in 2013, attended by 17 Latin American countries.

While Play True Day began as a small Latin American initiative, the AMA’s digital campaign now reaches millions of people each year, with numerous organizations from around the world participating.

This year Play True Day will take place on April 19, 2024.

As in previous years, we invite athletes, national and regional anti-doping organizations, sports federations, governments, major event organizers and other anti-doping stakeholders from around the world to join the campaign.
