Santo Domingo, Rep\u00fablica Dominicana. –<\/strong> Gloriosa la fecha del 8 de octubre 1952 en La Habana, Cuba cuando se fund\u00f3 la Uni\u00f3n Panamericana de Judo, entidad que se mantiene hasta nuestros d\u00edas como un referente de esta disciplina a nivel continental.
\nFueron unos inicios con muchas dificultades pues la disciplina de Jigoro Kano apenas acababa de llegar a varios pa\u00edses panamericanos y en otros todav\u00eda tardar\u00eda varias d\u00e9cadas en hacer su aparici\u00f3n.
\nLos pioneros tuvieron una importante visi\u00f3n que ha transcendido en estas siete d\u00e9cadas y que ha sido seguida por dirigentes que no han vendido su honor por prebendas o canonj\u00edas para mantener inc\u00f3lume nuestro nombre y logo.
\n\"\"Muchos han sido los logros organizativos, t\u00e9cnicos, arbitraje y competitivos con una camada de dirigentes que revolucionaron el judo a nivel mundial haciendo hincapi\u00e9 en las competiciones de kata, por equipo, video retardo, entre otras fruct\u00edferas actividades.
\nLos atletas bajo la sombrilla de la Uni\u00f3n Panamericana de Judo dejaron su impronta en los Campeonatos Mundiales, Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos, Torneos Internacionales de primera categor\u00eda, cursos, seminarios, Sal\u00f3n de la Fama del Judo Panamericano, Premiaciones de Equipo Todos Estrellas, en fin, donde quiera que la calidad era requerida ah\u00ed estuvo presente el judo panamericano.<\/h3>\n

Muy dif\u00edcil seria mencionar esos atletas que han puesto el alto a la Uni\u00f3n Panamericana pues de seguro dejar\u00edamos algunos fuera de ese listado y es por eso que no vamos a incurrir ese error lo que, si no dejaremos de mencionar y es que cuando nuestra disciplina inicio en los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos, Tokio 1964 en la rama masculina y en los de Barcelona 1992 el judo panamericano estuvo presente.
\n\"\"La n\u00f3mina de dirigentes del judo panamericano escalo los lugares m\u00e1s elevados del judo mundial, algunos idos a destiempo y de grata recordaci\u00f3n en las lides de esta disciplina marcial ahora convertida en deporte.
\nEn el discurrir del tiempo y al producirse el cisma del judo mundial cuando diferentes nefastos actores se alinearon para despojar a la Uni\u00f3n Panamericana del sitial que con sacrificio y honor hab\u00edamos escalado, tuvimos que cambiar el rumbo para salvar nuestro prestigio ante la vor\u00e1gine mundial de este deporte y as\u00ed afiliarnos a la World Judo Federation (WJF) bajo la ejecuci\u00f3n del JUDO PARA TODOS!

Santo Domingo Dominican Republic.<\/strong> – Glorious the date of October 8, 1952 in Havana, Cuba when the PanAmerican Judo Union (PJU) was founded, an entity that remains to this day as a benchmark for this discipline at the continental level.
\nThose were very difficult beginnings because Jigoro Kano’s discipline had only just arrived in several PanAmerican countries and in others it would still take several decades to make its appearance.
\n\"\"The pioneers had an important vision that has transcended these seven decades and has been followed by leaders who have not sold their honor for perks or canonries to keep our name and logo intact.
\nThere have been many organizational, technical, arbitration and competitive achievements with a litter of leaders who revolutionized judo worldwide, emphasizing kata, team, video delay competitions, among other fruitful activities.<\/h3>\n

The athletes under the umbrella of the Panamerican Judo Union left their mark on the World Championships, Olympic Games, first category International Tournaments, courses, seminars, Panamerican Judo Hall of Fame, All Star Team Awards, in short, where Whatever quality was required, Panamerican judo was present there.
\nIt would be very difficult to mention those athletes who have put a stop to the Panamerican Union because we would surely leave some out of that list and that is why we are not going to make that mistake, which, if not, we will stop mentioning and that is when our discipline began in the Olympic Games, Tokyo 1964 in the men’s category and in Barcelona 1992, Pan-American judo was present.<\/h3>\n
