\"\"Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.-<\/strong> La Uni\u00f3n Panamericana de Judo (UPJ) otorgo la graduaci\u00f3n de Octavo Dan a la destacada y meritoria atleta Amarilis Savon Carmenate en base a sus inigualables logros competitivos y aportes como referente t\u00e9cnico en funciones de entrenadora y de igual participando en cursos, seminarios y campamentos de entrenamiento como figura principal.
\nSavon Carmenete tiene en su haber un amplio historial competitivo a nivel nacional, regional, continental, mundial y en Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos la que la convierte en la atleta del judo panamericano con excelentes r\u00e9cords.
\nPrecisamente ella realizo toda su carrera atl\u00e9tica a nivel de competici\u00f3n bajo la sombrilla de la Uni\u00f3n Panamericana de Judo iniciando a principios de los noventa y concluyendo a mediados de la d\u00e9cada del a\u00f1o 2000 en donde acumulo medallas ol\u00edmpicas, mundiales, panamericanas, entre otras.
\nAmarilis naci\u00f3 un 13 de mayo de 1974 en la provincia de Santiago de Cuba iniciando su actividad deportiva en la disciplina de campo y pista corriendo los 1500 metros y nataci\u00f3n para luego a los trece a\u00f1os iniciarse en las practicas del judo.
\nEn sus inicios la Savon compet\u00eda en los 48 kilogramos para luego de su gestaci\u00f3n incursionar en los 52 kilogramos manteniendo su alta calidad competitiva y logros medallisticos.
\n\"\"De esta manera logro tres medallas de bronce en las Olimpiadas de Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996 compitiendo en los 48 kilogramos y Atenas 2004 esta vez en los 52 kilogramos.
\nSe corono Campeona Mundial en Osaka 2003 teniendo precedentemente medallas de plata en Birmingham 1999 y Paris 1997, as\u00ed mismo, una presea de bronce en Chiba 1995, de la disciplina de Jigoro Kano.
\nFue Campeona en Juegos Panamericana en tres (3) ocasiones correspondiendo a Mar del Plata 1995, Winnipeg 1999 y Santo Domingo 2003
\nAsi mismo medalla de oro en siete (7) Campeonatos Panamericanos cont\u00e1ndose entre ellos Ontario 1992, Santiago de Chile 1994, San Juan 1996, Guadalajara 1997, Santo Domingo 1998 y 2002 para finalizar en Isla Margarita 2004.
\nIncursiono en Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, eventos internacionales, Copas del Mundo en todos con marcados \u00e9xitos sin dejar de lado los Campeonatos Nacionales de su pa\u00eds donde fue reina absoluta de su categor\u00eda por mas de diez (10) a\u00f1os.
\n\"\"Paseo sus habilidades atl\u00e9ticas en diferentes ciudades en torneos, campeonatos, en fin, donde quiera su calidad era demostrada como en Rotterdam, Roma, Paris, Londres, Hamburgo, Budapest, Munich, Fukuoka, Sofia, Lisboa, Jeju, Ontario, Mar del Plata, Santiago de Chile, Santo Domingo y T\u00fanez, entre otras.
\nEn total Amariles Savon Carmenate obtuvo 64 preseas doradas, 13 de plata y 15 de bronce lo luego de su retiro y ya fijando su residencia en la ciudad de Miami transmite sus conocimientos en la funciones de entrenadora a la vez que atiende a diferentes solicitudes para externar sus experiencias.
\nAhora vive actualmente en Miami, Florida, Estados Unidos, y se desempe\u00f1a como instructora principal y entrenadora en la Fundaci\u00f3n Andres Kolychkine Judo y tambi\u00e9n comparte sus conocimientos en Somerset Academy Charter School.<\/p>\n

PANAMERICAN JUDO UNION AWARDS THE EIGHTH DAN TO AMARILIS SAVON CARMENETE<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.-<\/strong> The Panamerican Judo Union (PJU) awarded the Eighth Dan graduation to the outstanding and meritorious athlete Amarilis Savon Carmenate based on her unparalleled competitive achievements and contributions as a technical reference in the role of coach and equal participant in courses, seminars and training camps as a leading figure.
\nSavon Carmenete has to her credit an extensive competitive history at the national, regional, continental, world and Olympic Games levels, which makes her the panamerican judo athlete with excellent records.
\nPrecisely, she carried out her entire athletic career at the competition level under the umbrella of the Panamerican Judo Union, beginning in the early nineties and concluding in the mid-2000s, where she accumulated Olympic, World, and Pan American medals, among others.
\nAmarilis was born on May 13, 1974 in the province of Santiago de Cuba, beginning her sports activity in the field and track discipline, running the 1500 meters and swimming, and then at the age of thirteen she began practicing judo.
\nIn its beginnings, the Savon competed in the 48 kilograms and after its gestation venture into the 52 kilograms maintaining its high quality, advantages and medal achievements.
\nIn this way he achieved three bronze medals at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, Atlanta 1996 competing in the 48 kilograms and Athens 2004 this time in the 52 kilograms.

\nShe ventured into Central American and Caribbean Games, international events, World Cups in all with marked successes without neglecting the National Championships of her country where she was absolute queen of her category for more than ten (10) years.
