FUNDACION.-<\/h2>\n<p>Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- Siguiendo las actividades del Dia del Judo Panamericano y la celebracion del LXVIII Aniversario de la fundacion de la Union Panamericana de Judo en la ciudad de La Habana el 8 de octubre 1952 la entidad continental informo de ascensos de grados a personalidades que han aportado al desarrollo del judo en toda America.<\/p>\n<p>De esta manera Jose Rafael Rodriguez Carbonell, Jaime Casanova Martinez y Humberto Lopez recibieron el ascenso a Octavo Dan y los mismos representan a Cuba, Republica Dominicana y los Estados Unidos de Norteam\u00e9rica, respectivamente.<br \/>\nRodriguez Carbonel tiene en su haber la obtencion de medalla de plata en los Juegos de la XXII Olimpiada, Moscu 1980; medallas de oro en Juegos y Campeonatos Panamericanos, asi mismo, en eventos mundialistas al mas alto nivel, instructor con excelentes resultados, participante en innumerables cursos y seminarios de capacitaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Por su parte Casanova Martinez luego de agotar las funciones de atleta y entrenador dirigi\u00f3 sus conocimientos en la presidencia de la Federaci\u00f3n Nacional, miembro del Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo del Comit\u00e9 Ol\u00edmpico Dominicano, presidente de la Uni\u00f3n Panamericana de Judo e igual posici\u00f3n en la World Judo Federation (WJF).<\/p>\n<p>De otro lado Humberto Lopez fue siete veces campe\u00f3n de su categor\u00eda en el Cuerpo de Marines e igual cantidad de veces de las Fuerzas Armadas de los Estados Unidos, entrenador en innumerables eventos panamericanos y mundiales, as\u00ed mismo, fue exaltado al Sal\u00f3n de la Fama de los Estados Unidos, miembro de la Comisi\u00f3n de Educaci\u00f3n de la Uni\u00f3n Panamericana\u00a0 de Judo.<\/p>\n<p>El doctor Lupo Hernandez Contreras de Rep\u00fablica Dominicana con larga data como competidor nacional e internacional, instructor por largos a\u00f1os, soporte de atletas desde sus funciones de responsable del equipo de judo en la Policia Nacional Dominicana recibi\u00f3 el S\u00e9ptimo Dan.<\/p>\n<p>Al Sexto Dan fue ascendido David Santiago Soto de Mexico quien tiene en su haber la participaci\u00f3n en gran cantidad de eventos como calificado \u00e1rbitro internacional a la vez que distribuye sus conocimientos en la instrucci\u00f3n diaria por largos a\u00f1os a practicantes de esta disciplina adem\u00e1s de realizar diferentes cursos de entrenamiento,\u00a0 organizacion\u00a0 y arbitraje, entre otros.<\/p>\n<p>Justificadamente el profesor Kenzo Yamamoto de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana le fue otorgado el Sexto Dan como recompensa a uno de los judokas m\u00e1s exitosos en ese pa\u00eds antillano en las d\u00e9cadas de los a\u00f1os sesenta y setenta a la (UPJ)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>\nPANAMERICAN JUDO UNI\u00d3N PERFORMS UPGRADES ON THE DAY OF THE PANAMERICAN JUDO ON THE 68 ANNIVERSARY OF ITS FOUNDATION.-<\/h2>\n<p>Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- Following the activities of the Panamerican Judo Day and the celebration of the LXVIII Anniversary of the founding of the Panamerican\u00a0 Judo Union in the city of Havana on October 8, 1952, the continental entity reported promotions in degrees to personalities who have contributed to the development of judo throughout America.<\/p>\n<p>In this way, Jose Rafael Rodriguez Carbonell, Jaime Casanova Martinez and Humberto Lopez received the promotion to Eighth Dan and they represent Cuba, the Dominican Republic and the United States of America, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Rodriguez Carbonel has to his credit the silver medal in the Games of the XXII Olympiad, Moscow 1980; Gold medals in Panamerican Games and Championships, likewise, in World Cup events at the highest level, instructor with excellent results, participant in countless training courses and seminars.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Casanova Martinez after exhausting the functions of athlete and coach directed his knowledge in the presidency of the National Federation, member of the Executive Committee of the Dominican Olympic Committee, president of the Panamerican Judo Union and equal position in the World Judo Federation ( WJF).<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Humberto Lopez was a seven-time champion in his category in the Marine Corps and an equal number of times in the United States Armed Forces, a coach in countless panamerican and world events, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the United States, member of the Education Commission of the Panamerican Judo Union.<br \/>\nDr. Lupo Hernandez Contreras from the Dominican Republic with a long history as a national and international competitor, instructor for many years, supporting athletes from his duties as head of the judo team in the Dominican National Police received the Seventh Dan.<\/p>\n<p>David Santiago Soto from Mexico was promoted to the Sixth Dan, who has to his credit the participation in a large number of events as a qualified international referee while distributing his knowledge in daily instruction for many years to practitioners of this discipline in addition to taking different courses training, organization and refereeing, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Kenzo Yamamoto from the Dominican Republic was justifiably awarded the Sixth Dan as a reward to one of the most successful judokas in that Antillean
